Waubonsie Valley hosting a regional final volleyball game, facing off against West Aurora. The warriors look to bring their third straight plaque back to WV before advancing to sectionals.
And the warriors are off to a good start as Gabi Croll lands her serve right on the line for the ace. WV leads 6-4.
But West Aurora isn’t phased as they get an ace of their own to even the first set up at 10s courtesy of Chloey Myers.
Myers serves proving to be hard to read as she goes back to the line and gets another ace. Blackhawks now in the lead 11-10.
End of the first set and Waubonsie, along with their serving, gets the first set victory off Trinity Evans and Aryanna Ruffins block. 25-22.
Waubonsie shows off their offensive powers in the second set as Trinity Evans gets set up and gets the put down. Warriors lead 6-4.
But the Blackhawks serving is still on point as Lauren Greenwood gets now on ace but two aces for West Aurora to take the lead 12-11.
But Waubonsie regains the lead as Gabi Croll gets the kill. Warriors lead 13-12.
But West Aurora is sticking around as Jenna Millen goes up for a powerful kill that the Waubonsie defense can’t handle. West Aurora leads 21-20.
But Waubonsie secures the regional plaque off an ace from Jessica Molina, as the Warriors win in straight sets 25-22, 25-23.
