Waubonsie Valley vs. Naperville Central, Boys Lacrosse // 04.05.16

Naperville Central and the Waubonsie/Metea Valley Co-Op getting together for an early season conference game. Redhawks playing at home for the first time this year, ranked 6th in the state according to IHSLA.org. The green and gold come into this matchup 1-1 on the young season.

Warriors getting the scoring started, just 40 seconds into the game, Jon Gaff finds the back of the net giving Waubonsie the early lead.

But Naperville Central would respond in a big way, scoring eight goals in the first quarter, including five by sophomore Tommy Coyne. The Rutgers-commit finished the night with five goals and an assist. Redhawks also received key contributions from senior captain Nick Roy (three goals, assist) and Ryan Barrett (two goals), as Naperville Central improved to 3-0 on the year with an 18-3 win at home.
