With Sectionals for boys swimming and diving just one week away, Naperville Central senior and Michigan State signee, Scott Piper will look to book his fourth trip to state and the state championships. Not making any finals as a freshman, Piper has been a model of consistency since competing in seven finals with three top five finishes.
In 2015, Piper helped the Redhawks take 3rd in state with 4th place finishes in both the 200 individual medleys and as the lead leg of the 200 medley relay. But it’s the backstroke where Piper shines. Coming off wins in the 100 back as well as the 200 Individual Medley at the DVC Meet, he is currently one of the favorites at the Metea Valley Sectional and the state meet. There, Piper will look to stand atop the podium while helping the Redhawks go for state title number three.
