Neuqua Rugby is a program on the rise. The team recently finished up a preseason trip to Florida that included 42 active players and a mix of parents, siblings and coaches. They played a total of six games winning them all with the most exciting being a come-from-behind win on Friday for the JV team. Trailing 17-5 with 10 minutes to go the team rallied and won 20-17.
The Neuqua Valley Freshman and Sophomore team won the 2015 state championship and the Varsity team has risen from the second division to the first division where they are a contender.
Coach Graeme Jackson from New Zealand says his Wildcats are gaining more experience and passion for the game that originated across the pond.
