The number one seed in the Oswego Sectional, Plainfield North, looking to flex its muscle against six-seeded Neuqua Valley. Tigers averaging a little more than ten runs per game in the postseason. The Wildcats made it to the sectional final after beating Plainfield East 11-0 in the semifinals.
Plainfield North not wasting anytime getting on the board. The Tigers rough up senior starter Connor Rektorski for five runs in the second, knocking him out of the game early.
Kevin Ringlein helping the Wildcats stay within striking distance, delivering a RBI double and scoring a run in the fourth. But the Tigers would continue to rake. Plainfield North outscores Neuqua Valley 6-1 in the final two and a half innings, earning its second straight sectional championship with an 11-3 win. Wildcats finish the year 24-14-1.
