Two teams meeting up for the first time as DVC rivals. Naperville Central coming in 7-8 on the year looking for its first conference win. Neuqua Valley riding a two-game winning streak.
Trailing 22-17 in the first set, Naperville Central roared all the way back, tying the set at 23 with a block by John Davis on the Karl Deichmann kill attempt. Rashad Fattash finished off the first set with a floater to the back line giving Central momentum into the second.
Redhawks would go up 12-8 early on, but this time it was the Wildcats making a run, tying the set at 13 after an ace by freshman Kevin Kauling. Central would have to fight back again, at one point getting down 23-18 in the set, but a big block by Fattash tied the set at 23.
Just like the end of the first set, Fattash would finish things off for Central. Redhawks come from behind, getting the hard fought victory in straight sets, 25-23, 25-23.
