There’s a new energy around the Naperville North football team in 2016. The Huskies finished last season with a pair of wins and now hope to carry over that momentum into the new year.
On the very first drive, senior running back Eric Wright showing off the wheels, breaking a couple arm tackles, and running down the sideline 35 yards for the opening score of the game.
North would take a 21-0 lead in the second, but Sandburg responded with a pair of touchdowns to make it a one score game at the half. But the Eagles defense had no answer for quarter Luke Cegles. 254 yards passing and five touchdowns helped ice the game away late for the Huskies, winning it in a laugher, 41-14.
