Naperville Central and Metea Valley, both teams 0-2 on the season needing to get a win to stay afloat in the conference and state playoff mix.
Redhawks’ starting quarterback Patrick Ryan, still trying to assert himself as the guy to run the offense, may have finally had that game. Ryan threw for 241 yards and two touchdowns while running for a score as well.
Mustangs’ sophomore Payton Thorne is coming into his own as the starting quarterback. He threw for 170 yards and a touchdown, adding 34 yards on the ground a score there too.
Naperville Central gets the win 28-25.
