Naperville North won the DuPage Valley Conference championship outright for the first time since 2012. That seems like yesterday compared to the last time the Huskies won a regional title back in 2006. Naperville North will get another shot at that regional championship after getting by Downers Grove North 50-38.
Huskies got out to a hot start, leading 11-1 after the first, carrying that 10-point lead into halftime, 25-15. The Trojans made a run in the third, getting the lead down to seven midway through the quarter, but never could get much closer than that. Mitch Lewis lead the Huskies in scoring with 17 points, adding seven rebounds to his night. Naperville North will have a chance at revenge taking on York after the Dukes beat the Huskies in the championship game of the Jack Tosh Tournament.
