Former Neuqua Valley sprinter Jacob Bender is now tearing up the track at the University of Nebraska in this installment of Where Are They Now? presented by Crosstown Pub and Grill.
Bender’s best season at Neuqua Valley was as a sophomore in 2010. Running in both the 4×200 and 4×400 relays, Bender and the Wildcats used 3rd and 1st place finishes at the State Meet to take third as a team.
The following year, Bender took second place as an individual in the 400 meter dash as well.
Since his time at Neuqua Valley, Bender has been running for the Cornhuskers of the University of Nebraska. He should have quite the senior season in 2016, having already set a school record, and been named an First Team All-American for the Huskers time in the 4×400 relay.
