IHSA State Wrestling Finals // 02.20.16

Through the entire run up to the IHSA state wrestling tournament, Dylan Ervin met and defeated any challenger he faced in the 195 pound weight class. After winning the loaded Batavia Sectional, Ervin is ready to make school history by making it all the way to the championship round at the State Farm Center in Champaign. Making the trip down state with Ervin is Max Ihry of Waubonsie Valley, a star on the mat as well as the football field who took 5th place in last year’s state tournament. Naperville Central had two wrestlers with great careers making the trip as well in Cam Hardy and Jake Keating. Lucas Van Pouke from Naperville North was the Huskie representative, replacing Metea Valley’s Phillip Simms who had to drop out due to an injury he obtained at the sectional meet.
