Dr. Christine Igoe and Lisa Xagas have been spearheading the District’s early childhood expansion and developing Naperville 203 as a leader in Social Emotional Learning (SEL) at all ages.
In this episode of NCTV’s School Scene, Superintendent Dan Bridges sits down with Christine and Lisa to discuss the five tenets of SEL, why it is so important for students to gain some of these critical skills prior to kindergarten and how District 203 is working with partners in the community to reach as many students as possible in their early years.
The District’s Mission is to educate students to be self-directed learners, collaborative workers, complex thinkers, quality producers and community contributors.
