Will County’s bond rating is holding strong.
S&P Global has given the county an AA+ rating for the ninth year in a row, with Moody Investor Services keeping theirs at AA1.
The continued strong ratings are a tribute to the county’s commitment to maintaining a consistent cash reserve and for the growth of their economy.
“We are the largest inland port in all of North America right here in Will County and a lot of businesses are looking to invest here,” said Will County Executive Larry Walsh, ”We have achieved that interest by being right here in the crossroads of mid-America.”
The high rating ensures that borrowing costs can be kept low and tax dollars used wisely
DuPage County currently holds an AAA bond rating, the highest possible.
