A video students from two Naperville schools produced has been selected as a finalist for the first ever White House Student Film Festival.
As part of a nationwide contest, the art classes from Mill Street and Highlands Elementary Schools created a video showcasing how they use technology in the classroom.
50 students in first through fifth grader worked together before school and during recess on the project, which they presented to the school board at the board’s latest meeting.
Five of them and the two teachers, Kyle Wood and Chuck Hoff, will go to the white house on February 28 to screen their final product during the festival.
A panel of judges will then select the winning videos to post on the White House website, YouTube, and social media pages.
