Where to Recycle Holiday Lights

When cleaning up your holiday lights for the season, consider the environment for those not shining as bright.

Instead of throwing old lights in the trash, you can recycle them and prevent filling landfills.

The Naperville Department of Public Works Service Center, located on Fort Hill Drive and Jefferson Avenue is accepting lights of all colors and lengths- including L.E.D, rope lights and extension cords.

Lights will be accepted during normal business hours through April first.

A drop-off recycle box is also located in the lunchroom of the Municipal Center.

Naperville News 17’s Alyssa Bochenek reports.
