Marketing students from Metea, Neuqua, and Waubonsie arrived by bus load to the Westfield Shopping Center.
Their goal? To come up with a marketing plan encouraging businesses to come to one of their vacant spots.
Students will be taking a look at target markets, strategies and demographics of the aurora mall.
The class project gives the groups a chance at real world experience while still in school, an opportunity they enjoy.
I just think the students are really excited to do this type of project they’ve been talking about it all semester wondering when it was going to start, they’re really excited just to make an impact on their own community with some of the marketing decisions that they could potentially be making,” said Neuqua Business Teacher, Beth Knuth.
A team from each school will be selected to present their winning plan to a panel of city leaders in early 2016.
