Summer is bringing a slew of construction projects to the city.
145 streets, in every part of the city, will be getting resurfaced. The project will be divided into four quadrants to help avoid traffic headaches. The work is costing the city $11.6 million.
71 of the street pavement projects are expected to start between May and July. Work on the remaining 74 projects will take place from July to October.
The State of Illinois has also just approved over $900,000 in funding for work along Naper Boulevard from Gartner Road to Chicago Avenue.
The work includes pavement milling, resurfacing, curb and gutter work, sidewalks and markings.
