Former President George W. Bush stopped by Anderson’s Bookshop recently, signing copies of his book 41: A Portrait of my Father, a biography of his dad’s life.
Nearly 1,200 fans braved the frigid cold to meet the President, who smiled for pictures, shook hands and even greeted the smallest fans.
This was reportedly W’s first signing at an independent bookstore – but not his first time in town. The then republican presidential nominee came to Naperville for the Labor Day parade back in 2000.
Anderson’s sold out of the book nearly 24 hours after announcing the event.
