It’s been out with the old and in with the new for many eateries in town.
“All throughout town, all of the retail space is starting to really fill in, post recession, and there’s a lot of vibrancy back into our retail corridors,” said Christine Jeffries, President of the Naperville Development Partnership.
You can grab healthy food to-go at the newly opened Snap Kitchen, located on Chicago Avenue in the space that Jamba Juice left earlier this year.
For those with more of a sweet tooth, what was formerly Sugar Monkey Cupcakes is now Mo’s Bake House under the same ownership, offering homemade donuts and unique desserts.
Just a few blocks away is a new location for Halsted Street Deli and Bagel, in a space previously occupied by B Happy Café.
And in the southeast corner of town, demolition has begun on the former Dominick’s to make way for the new Mariano’s, which is predicted to open in 2016.
“The economy is really doing well, and Naperville has experienced a lot of growth in retail, on the office side of things and on the hospitality side of things, so it’s a pretty exciting time to be in Naperville,” said Jeffries.
Residents can also look forward to the opening of Empire by Ballydoyle, which is currently under construction on Chicago Avenue and is slated for a fall opening.
