During a special workshop at the 95th Street Library, the group discussed forming a new mission statement for the City. They also worked on an ends policy that describes where they’d like to see the City of Naperville at the end of their term as council.
“Where is it that we want to get to, what is that end that we want for our residents and our business owners? Then we go about implementing it, but to really take some time to not be tactical, but to really think about what is the future,” said Rebecca Boyd-Obarski, Councilwoman for the City of Naperville.
The group also reviewed their behavioral tendencies and styles to understand how to better interact with one another to form a more effective decision making body.
The next strategic plan workshop will be held March 7.
