Volunteer tax preparers from the AARP Tax-Aide Program are working with the park district to offer free tax assistance for seniors.
They can register for a one-on-one, 45 minute appointment held at the Alfred Rubin Riverwalk Community Center on Mondays and Wednesdays.
“The volunteers are very enthusiastic and they are trained really well, they have a certification so they can answer questions. It’s so important to get that tax return in, and this makes it not a chore, it makes it something very doable,” said Sue Omanson, Community Development Manager with the Naperville Park District.
While dates for February are filled, assistance will be offered through April 6. Call the park district to make an appointment.
