Area residents without ample room to grow can now register for one of the local garden plots.
“Registration is currently underway and we will continue to take them as long as we have plots available. Going into this last week of March we have 150 still available and we expect them to sell out for summer,” said Director of Recreation at the Park District, Brad Wilson.
Run by the Naperville Park district, the plots come in two sizes – 18 by 29 ft., and 14.5 by 18 ft., and are located just across from Edward Hospital on West Street.
Those interested are asked to register in person at the administration building at 320 West Jackson Avenue. Slots will be filled in order of arrival.
Opening day for the plots is April 16, as long as weather and soil conditions are good.
