The Naperville Heritage Society received a $50,000 grant from the National Endowment for the Humanities, as part of their Sustaining Cultural Heritage Collections grant program.
Naper Settlement will use the funds to address environmental issues that could negatively impact the museum’s collections and buildings.
The Settlement’s goal is to develop a preservation plan for reducing air and water infiltration and maintaining appropriate climate control in 19 of the buildings on their property.
The Heritage Society was one of 17 applicants to receive a grant from the NEH this year.
