Pepper Construction recently started the process of taking down the six structures on Loomis Street.
The process should take about two weeks. Construction crews plan on starting with the five houses which had been used for faculty offices, then on July 22nd, will start taking down the old Student Village.
“Everything is going to plan of course we’ve done very extensive safety preparation and final sweeps of each of the properties making sure nothing got in overnight. Then we go about the process very systematically and everything is trucked out one semi load at a time,” said Dan Noack, Superintendent of Pepper Construction.
Recent rain hasn’t been a problem for the crews, as they are still running on time for the anticipated September 2017 opening of the $60 million center.
