The city is offering two options for leaf disposal. First – bag them. Residents can pile their leaves into 32-gallon paper bags, clearly marked 32-gallon trash cans, or clearly labeled two wheel carts.
These can then be placed on the curb on your normal trash collection day. Pick-up for bagged leaves will end on December 11th.
Or, if you want to save yourself the trouble of bagging, there’s option two – sweep them onto the street next to the curb. Just keep them clear of the storm drains.
The city will be making their final curbside collection beginning November 16th, to be completed by November 25th.
If you’re behind on your clean-up, you can always check the city’s interactive map to find out the status of leaf collection in your area, to see if there’s still time to make the cut.
One thing you can’t do – burn them — it’s prohibited in Naperville.
