The residents have spoken and the results are now in for the ways in which DuPage County can improve.
Back in 2013, the DuPage County Health Department, social and human service agencies in our area teamed up to launch a feedback system called Impact DuPage, a website that surveyed over 2,000 residents to find out what they think about the strengths, weaknesses and needs of DuPage County.
“We can look back and see with our assessment, what’s changed, are we moving the needle and are doing the best we can to improve the well-being of our residents?” said Sarah Troll, Population Health Coordinator with the DuPage County Health Department.
The major needs identified to reach that goal were providing affordable housing, strengthening the mental health system, giving better access to health services and substance abuse programs, and promoting healthy lifestyles.
The agencies will now work to develop an action plan and address those needs.
