Patrons at Meson Sabika recently dined for donations.
On Tuesday, January 26, the restaurant hosted a flood victims fundraiser, donating 100% of profits that day to the American Red Cross.
Diners enjoyed the restaurant’s award winning food while doing good for those displaced by floods over the holiday.
“What would it be like if that had happened to us during the holiday, that just triggers something in my heart and says do all you can to help them,” said Owner, Houssin Jamali.
Flooding in the St. Louis area broke records over the holiday season when the region received more than ten inches of rain in just three days. The event caused 22 deaths and forced the Governor to call in the National Guard.
Meson Sabika does multiple fundraisers similar to this one each year.
