Five local candidates running in November recently shared their views in front of the Naperville business community.
The Legislative Committee of the Naperville Area Chamber of Commerce hosted a meet the candidates forum at Hotel Arista, with discussion topics ranging from taxes to raising the minimum wage.
Featured were candidates for DuPage County Board District 5 incumbent Tonia Khouri (R) and Challenger Regina Brent (D), Ed Agustin (D) and Grant Wehrli (R) both running to represent District 41 in the state house, and Krishna Bansal (R) who is running for state representative in District 84 also addressed members – his opponent Stephanie Kifowit (D) was unable to attend.
State Senator Michael Connelly (R) also spoke briefly about the state of Springfield.
Early voting begins October 20 with the general election following on November 4.
