The District 204 School Board recently approved a tentative budget for the 2015 fiscal year.
The $309.8 million budget is an increase over last year’s, but is supported by an expected revenue of over $311 million.
It takes into account the heat day’s problem, allocating 3.7 million dollars to installing partial air conditioning in 19 of the districts schools.
They also plan on spending $3.5 million on capital improvement and $2.5 million on new technology district wide, including laptops and smart boards in more classrooms.
The board will hold a budget hearing and conduct a final vote during their September 22 meeting.
