A local favorite is back on store shelves just for the holiday season.
Naperville Old Fashioned English Toffee has been a family and community tradition for more than 70 years.
Prince Castle Cock Robin Ice Cream Company founder Walter Fredenhagen had a sweet tooth and flare for making candy.
The candy production helped boost sales at the ice cream store during the winter and kept store employees busy.
Starting in 1935 and every Christmas after, residents would line up for the holiday treat.
Today the family is still making and selling the treat.
Mary Lou Wehrli is the local distributor.
If you want to grab your toffee before it’s too late you can head over to Casey’s Foods, Whole Foods Naperville, Zeppe’s Italian Market, or Ellie’s Deli. You can also visit the website at napervilletoffee.com.
