Naperville recently lost a respected leader and businessman.
Robert Pullen, President and CEO of Tellabs has passed away at 50, after a battle with cancer.
Pullen joined the telecommunications company in 1985 as an electrical engineer.
For nearly thirty years, he worked his way up the executive chain, climbing to the top job in 2008.
During his tenure, Pullen made a point of making Tellabs accessible to the community for charity functions.
One such example is Cuisine for a Cause, hosted by Naperville Cares. Over the past 4 years, the event held at Tellabs, has raised more than $500,000.
Janet derrick, Executive Director of Naperville Cares, says, “Rob Pullen was very generous to this community. And through that generosity, and through the help of his staff, we were able to double our capacity.”
Former Vice President, Daniel Kelly has been named as President and CEO.
