The library’s Community Knit, Crochet, and Needlecraft group is putting together quilts to donate to Family Shelter Services.
“It started about two years ago, at our Nichols location and we’ve expanded it to our other two libraries we do projects to donate to different services and we change that up every three months,” said Cela Zofkie, Adult Services Associate at the Naperville Public Library.
Currently, the group meets once a month to knit 7 by 9 inch squares that they will stitch together to provide blankets for the service center to be delivered in March.
“It feels amazing, they are so thankful for whatever they get and know that so much love has gone into making these blankets. It’s just nice to be giving back,” Zofkie added.
Anyone is welcome to come to the group, to work on the squares or their own personal projects.
