A popular author returned to Naperville to share what U.S.A. Today calls “an epic story of love, family and loyalty.”
Hundreds of fans lined Anderson’s Bookshop to catch a glimpse of Stephenie Meyer, the author of the New York Times Best Selling Series, The Twilight Saga.
Meyer was in town to promote the movie-related version of her book, “The Host.” It tells the story of a love triangle that main character, Melanie Stryder, finds herself tangled up in.
Two actors from the upcoming movie, Max Irons and Jake Able, accompanied Meyer in signing books and taking pictures with fans.
Fans replied with words of excitement to Meyer’s appearance.
“I’m probably going to cry,” said Summer Price, an Indiana resident. “Just the thought of this is enough to make me overwhelmingly [excited], I just don’t know what to say. I took a four and a half hour drive to get here. It’s going to be worth every second.”
“I want to know where she gets her inspiration, especially for ‘The Host,’” said Stephanie Snyder, a Naperville resident, “because I read it twice and both times I loved it.”
“I had stopped reading for a while and then I got into her ‘Twilight’ books, and now I have a book in my hand like all the time,” said Liz Clark, a Naperville resident.
“The Host” will be in theaters March 29th.
