A little over a year after her arrest, the case against Naperville Smart Meter Awareness Secretary Jennifer Stahl has been resolved.
Stahl, who has been an outspoken opponent of smart meters, was charged with interfering with a city officer or employee and denying access to authorized agents to premises.
Both offenses were ordinance violations and only punishable by fines.
The City of Naperville and Stahl engaged in alternative dispute resolution to avoid sending the case to trial.
Stahl signed an agreement stating if the case moved forward there was enough evidence for her conviction.
As part of the deal she also agreed to complete 40 hours of public service and not commit another offense.
Stahl has served more than her 40 hours of public service and the charges were withdrawn.
