Family and friends of loved one’s who call St. Patrick’s Residence home were treated to a very green party.
St. Patrick and a leprechaun were on hand to take pictures with guests.
There was also plenty of Irish food like soda bread and corned beef.
Performers who played the bagpipes and performed traditional Irish dances dazzled audiences.
Kids had their faces painted and there were plenty of games and prizes.
The event has been held every year for more than two decades.
“It’s for the residents to invite their families and spend some time with them,” says Sister Jean Haley. “The guild puts it on for us and they raise about $50,000.”
All of the proceeds from the event will benefit the residents and staff.
