Over 2,000 runners laced up their running shoes, put on some green, and took to the streets of downtown Naperville for the St. Paddy’s Day 5K.
While temperatures were low, spirits were high. In a sea of green, participants stood out by donning tutu’s and bodysuits. Even a few canines were spotted in festive Irish threads.
Kyle Brady took first place, crossing the finish line at 15:00. An avid runner, Brady says the cold temperatures made the run harder than usual. “It definitely makes it more tougher for times when it’s colder because you can’t move your legs as fast.”
