It’s that time of year again when the spirit of giving is all around us. Naperville’s Little Friends, Inc. center for autism is having their annual Giving Tree program.
Each tree is decorated with tags that provide an individuals wish list. Choose a tag, go shopping, wrap the gift and then return it to the Giving Tree location. The hope is to touch the life of a child or adult with autism and other developmental disabilities one gift at a time.
“A lot of these people wouldn’t have Christmas if it wasn’t for the generosity of the people in the communities,” said Amanda Malley, Director of Program Services at Little Friends, Inc. “We really appreciate what people do and how generous they are.”
There are Giving Trees located in 19 businesses throughout the western suburbs. Gifts will be delivered in mid-December to hundreds of clients across the agency.
