Some couldn’t contain their excitement when Saint Nick came to his Naperville post for special needs night.
Kids at the Santa House enjoyed cookies and coloring while waiting to tell Santa what they were hoping to find under the tree this year.
“I have been doing this for about 7 or 8 years and it’s so exciting just to see the reactions of families who this is the first and only time their child has ever been able to see Santa and I think the parents and adults are sometimes more excited then the children, because this really isn’t an opportunity they would’ve had otherwise,” said Manager of Inclusion at WDSRA, Tammy Kerrins.
This year the Park District set aside four nights for families with special needs to come by the house before it opens to the public.
The Santa House opens officially on December 5th.
