A local business is transforming the vending machine model and offering business owners a way to update the break room.
Naperville based Triple “S” Services opened their first “Snap Market” at US Diamond Wheel in Oswego, where they’re hoping to bring variety to the break room.
Steven Steck, the owner of Triple “S” Services was on hand at the grand opening to help employees with their new vending options. “The vending industry as a whole has got a negative feeling. People have problems with vending machines where they put money in and it gets jammed, products get jammed,” says Steck. “Mirco-marts eliminate a lot of those problems.”
Employees can walk up to the coolers, grab their snacks and then use their credit card or a prepaid card to pay.
“We want to show the people that the company is trying to do things for them,” says US Diamond Wheel Plant Manager Randy Leppe. “This is where they spend their time eating and relaxing and we want them to enjoy this.”
The open vending concept allows employers to offer a wider variety of meals and snacks. It also allows them to offer healthier options for lunchtime. Triple “S” is hoping this new open vending concept catches on. If it does they could be installing these new vending machines in businesses all around town.
