A local event helped feed the hungry in Naperville.
Mayor Pradel went on a three and a half minute shopping spree through the dairy section at Jewel-Osco on Naper Boulevard for Loaves & Fishes
A crowd cheered on the Mayor as he tossed yogurt, bags of cheese, cartons of juice, gallons of milk and big tubs of butter into a shopping cart.
“We’ve made it possible for just a few more people in Naperville to make it through this economy and have something to put on the table,” said Mayor Pradel, Mayor of the City of Naperville.
He filled three carts and reached a total of seven hundred ninety seven dollars for the food pantry.
Jewel-Osco donated the food and organized the event as part of national dairy month.
