If you live in DuPage County, you have the chance to weigh in on what the county’s financial priorities are by participating in a survey.
Each year, the DuPage County board gathers public opinion as it prepares next year’s budget and in doing so, has a series of questions for residents to answer online.
They ask things like “What services are most important to you?” And “How should county government be funded?”
Over the years, the survey has revealed a couple of hot-topics among participants.
“We’ve noticed that senior services in particular – people have more interest in it. Our county is aging slightly as the years go by” said Paul Fichtner, Finance Committee Chairman. “Also storm water with all the rain we’ve had these last couple of years has become sort of a hot button issue.”
The information collect will be taken into consideration during budget discussions.
Once prepared by DuPage County Dan Cronin in September, there will be several public hearings for residents to learn more.
