Seniors and Starbucks

The DuPage Senior Citizens Council’s newest partnership is offering up some sweet treats.

Four local Starbucks restaurants will supply the council’s community dining sites with delicious treats.

Every Wednesday DuPage Senior Citizen Council Staff will pick up the leftovers from Starbucks and serve them on Thursdays at the dine in locations.

Coffee, cakes, scones, breads and more will be available for patrons.

“It really shows how when you partner together you can do a lot of good for the community and our program focuses on providing ⅓ of the daily required intake of food that’s appropriate for seniors. This is just an added perk and a little treat they can have,” said Marylin Krolak, the Executive Director of the DuPage Senior Citizen’s Council.

The Starbucks treats will not be available as part of the Meals on Wheels delivery service.
