SECA Funding

From musical performances to fundraising walks, various not-for-profit organizations around town addressed the Advisory Cultural Commission for Special Events and Cultural Amenities (SECA) funding.

Of the 91 applicants, 34 showed up and provided an overview of how funding will benefit their organization.

Sarah Orleans, President and CEO of DuPage Children’s Museum.

Paula Ball, Executive Director of Naperville Men’s Glee Club.

Walter Johnson, President and CEO of Turning Pointe Autism Foundation.

The funds are derived from the citywide one percent food and beverage tax, for the purpose of aiding eligible not for profit organizations in providing new and continued cultural experiences.

This years format differs from previous years with each applicant needing to attend one of three SECA funding workshops.
