Seager Park closed to the public on April 11th, but residents can now enjoy new features like an interpretive center for education programming, a new walking trail, a new fire pit and upgrades to the basketball and volleyball.
Officials say the new Interpretive Center will be used for preschool classes, summer camps, and field trips for area schools.
“its really important for people to enjoy being outside and learn about nature especially kids,” said Community Development Manager for the Naperville Park District, Sue Omanson.”
The price tag on the renovations totaled $1.5 million dollars and was paid in part by the Open Space Lands Acquisition and Development Grant Program.
