Safety Concerns Alleviated at School Corner

Naperville City Council unanimously approved an all-way stop to be established at the intersection of Douglas Avenue and Webster Street.

It’s the corner where Washington Junior High School sits – and the location of 22 traffic violations over the past month.

Residents hope that number will decline with the added stop signs.

“I think this is the time to do this now, so we don’t have to look at another bad accident and we say that this is the right thing to do because we’ve worked together and this is a good solution for everyone,” said David Wentz, Naperville resident.

The stop signs should be up before the start of school.
