A nearby brewery is fired up about helping those in need.
Warrenville’s Rock Bottom Brewery is now serving up its annual “Fire Chief Ale” to raise money for local fire departments and related not-for-profits.
Rock Bottom kicked off the fundraiser with a tapping party, where guests got to sample the ale.
Fire Chief is a medium-bodied, auburn-colored drink made with caramel and crystal malts.
The staff is donating fifty cents of each pint of the drink sold to camp “I Am Me”, which is a summer camp for children who’ve suffered severe burn injuries.
The brewery has raised nearly two million dollars during similar promotions over the past 16 years.
This year’s brew is available through April 15th.
