Orange cones, flashing lights, and increased travel times can only mean construction season is beginning around the city.
Construction at the intersection of Ogden Ave. and Raymond Dr. is underway to lengthen multiple turn lanes.
Also, planned are multiple resurfacing projects expected to run from May to October including portions of Washington St., Diehl, and Book. A full map of this year’s projects can be found on the city of Naperville’s website as well as many other resources.
“We provide construction alerts, construction notices [on the website],” said Allison Albrecht the Public Information Coordinator for the Transportation Engineering and Development. “We have e-newsletters people can take advantage of. We will also try to post as much information as we can through the local media, Facebook and Twitter, and our other forms of social media.”
Plans for the widening of Butterfield Rd. from Rt. 59 to Naperville Rd. will begin at the end of May.
