Back in March the board tabled the possibility of making changes to the Riverwalk Eatery, after they were notified that a $2.5 million grant was being suspended by the state.
But now, back on their feet and after a survey regarding the Eatery came back with over 800 responses, the board re-introduced the idea of the project.
The plan would make upgrades to the bathrooms, lighting, outdoor patio area and add beer and wine to the menu.
“We’re just simply upping and enhancing an amenity that’s already there and is really under utilized, so I think it’s going to be a plus for the community,” said Ray McGury, Executive Director of the Naperville Park District.
The new project would cost around $500,000 and will need to be re-voted through on Liquor Commission and City Council before they can more forward.
