Some of the summer time event’s key sponsors fathered at Maggiano’s in Naperville to look back at the achievements of Ribfest 2015. Highlights included a boost in attendance, and a nearly doubled budget for entertainment.
However, the Exchange Club’s mission took center stage, when Project Help Executive Director Peggy McGuire shared the story of a family who was reunited, thanks to programs that are funded in part by Ribfest.
“I have a story everyday, but that’s where your money’s going. That’s an entire family that’s now intact thanks to the parent mentor program. So, I just want to thank you. I get the pleasure of seeing the difference you’re making,” said McGuire.
Last year the Exchange Club was able to give funds to over 50 local charities thanks to the proceeds.
Planning is already underway for Ribfest 2016, which will take place from Friday July 1st to Monday July 4th.
