A Naperville North alumnus is being honored after his tragic death.
Jason Sinnick had a smile that could light up a room. A student at University of Illinois, he made a name for himself during high school at Naperville North as captain of the football team.
Jason was completing an internship at Van Drunen Farms this summer when a fatal car accident ended his life. He was just 21 years old.
To honor his memory, Naperville North football is reserving his number, 40, to hand out to a student player who exemplifies Jason’s best qualities.
“He was the teammate you wanted to be, the player the coach wanted him to be, if we could have more like Jason who would put forth the effort to be a great student athlete, we’d be in a better place,” said Sean Drendel, Head football Coach for Naperville North.
The presentation of Jason’s jersey will be held Friday, August 26 at the Huskies first game of the season against Sandburg.
